As soon as the registration of election committees is over, CCE is going to ask electoral staff of each party preparing for the national elections 25 questions. Those are questions concerning the current situation and role of Poland in the EU, reforms waiting to be enforced as well as the most important issues regarding modern world. Guests on our website give their views on these statements by clicking on 'agree', 'disagree' or 'don’t know'.
Due to interactive, internet devices Election Lighthouse helps to specify one's views and compare them with programs of each election committee participating in elections.
In 2009 we have prepared the
Election Lighthouse for the European Parliament Elections. It was the third edition of our project. All of them met with a wide response of the candidates, voters and the media. Hundred thousands of voters visited our website.
The project does not promote any party, committee, electoral coalition or any specific political view.
Election Lighthouse is supported and promoted by the biggest Polish daily newspaper,
“Gazeta wyborcza” www.gazetawyborcza.pl and in 2009 became a part of the
“VoteMatch Europe” Network
www.votematch.eu which combines other European countries that established tools to measure people’s political preferences before conduction of elections.
